Why This Show, and Why Now?

In a time when the world feels heavy, laughter isn’t a luxury—it’s a lifeline. That’s why myself and my fabulous team are diving into The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged) [Revised] {Again}—a fast, chaotic, joy-fueled tribute to the Bard...

with a few well-timed breakdowns.

Having tackled this whirlwind before, I knew it was time to revive it—this time with my brilliant cast-mates: Levi Penley, Mackenzie Menter, Carla Duval, and Dan Yaiullo. When I asked them to join, their answer was, “PUCK yea!

This round - I’m producing, co-directing, acting, designing, and wearing every hat imaginable. From set, props, cue lists, and a full Fundraising Night (May 15th—details below!), I’ve spent the last two months bringing this dream to life with an incredible team.

Because let’s be honest: it takes a Shakespearean village to pull off 37 plays, 5 actors, and one big, beautiful production.

Theater gives us a space to escape, to connect, and to remember how vital shared laughter can be. This show isn’t just about honoring the Bard—it’s an escape, a celebration, and a reminder of how badly we all need silliness, connection, and community. Especially now.

MAY THE BARD BE WITH YOU!

Color-Coded Chaos:
The Visual World of Complete Works

For this reimagined production of The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged), I wanted the visuals to match the wild, fast-paced energy of the script—loud, bold, and unapologetically fun. Set in the intimate blackbox space of The RAT NYC, this version transforms minimalism into a technicolor playground of comedy and chaos.

Our entire world is built on four main colors—Yellows, Oranges, Reds, and Purples—with neutral tones for balance. Each cast member owns a color, with the exception of Carla, playing the added role of our fearless Stage Manager, who carries all the colors—because let’s be honest, she’s the glue holding this whole circus together.

From painted cubes, draped curtains, every prop, and costume piece, the entire design is drenched in this powerful palette. Creating a cohesive, high-impact world that's both theatrical and delightfully unhinged. It’s Shakespeare—through a color-coded fever dream—and we wouldn’t have it any other way.
